Fordham Undergraduate Research Journal, Vol. X
My article, Creation, Desire, and Destruction: Exploring Edvard Munch’s Depictions of Gender, was published in Volume X of Fordham's Undergraduate Research Journal (FURJ), and was made possible through several months of collaboration with peer reviewers and copy-editors.
I wrote the original paper for an advanced elective course: Gender and Modern Art. Pitching the paper to FURJ was an exercise in reshaping a classroom submission into an academic article—which involved coordinating with a review committee and implementing edits to align with the journal's standards.
As an Art History graduate, I find that even academic writing can be engaging and accessible when created with intention. My goal is always to write for the reader.
